Free In Christ

The freedom of our identity in Christ is established upon foundational truths from the Word of God that have been liberated from the bondage of religious tradition.
Jesus said the Word of God is nullified or made of no power by our religious traditions.
Paul said we can be taken captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world, rather than on Christ and our identity in Him.
As we allow the Holy Spirit to break away the chains of religious tradition and deceptive philosophy, the Word of God proves to be life giving and powerful.

GATHER WITH US
The Balance of Grace and Faith
By definition, the word grace means unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor. Therefore, the good news is, grace has nothing to do with you. Grace existed before you ever came to be. Another way of saying it is, grace is God’s part. Faith is defined as being a positive response to what God has already provided by grace. In other words, faith is your positive response to God’s grace, or faith only appropriates what God has already provided for you. Therefore, faith is your part.
Grace and faith work together, and they must be in balance.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Effortless Change
It sounds impossible. Yet, that’s what the Word reveals about how the kingdom of God works.
Most people view change as a difficult, painful, and labor intensive process. To their way of thinking, it takes a huge amount of effort to change their thoughts, actions, and circumstances. Due to this, change is something they resist. It’s hard to change routines, traditions, and long-standing problems. People get stuck in ruts—ways of thinking and doing - therefore, there’s just a natural resistance toward change.
There are some truths from the Word of God that can totally transform the way you understand and approach change. If you receive these truths into your heart and apply them to your life, you’ll be able to see change take place in your life effortlessly.
While many people don’t recognize their need to change, others are very aware, and have a strong desire to change. If you’re sick, you probably desire to walk in health. If you’re in bondage to sin, it’s likely that you want to experience more of God’s victory. You may realize that you would like certain changes in your life externally. However, all true change begins internally. It starts with what’s on the inside of you.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

The True Nature of God
What is God really like? This is one of the most important questions that we must answer. We cannot have a healthy relationship with someone that we don't know. Misunderstandings about the nature and character of the Lord have made it easy for the devil to cause us to doubt God and the promises of His Word.
What is the real nature of God? Is He harsh, as viewed through many Old Testament instances, or is He meek and gentle of heart, as Jesus portrayed? God's dealings with man all the way from the Garden of Eden to the present, show one consistent nature of God through it all. This understanding will answer many questions and leave you with a much greater faith in the goodness of God.
The results of this truth are a newfound understanding of the true nature of God that will undoubtedly generate a new love and trust for the Lord; to really know God is to love Him.

For I desire mercy and not sacrifice,......
“I the Lord do not change........."
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
God is love

The War is Over
The longest conflict in history lasted 4000 years and ended in a decisive victory nearly 2000 years ago. Still, many have not yet heard the news and they continue to fight the battle-the battle of sin and judgment.
On the cross Jesus said “It is finished,” victory was declared, and reconciliation began. It was the victory promised when Jesus was born and the angels declared, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14). Is this saying Jesus came to create peace among men? If it is, then He has most certainly failed.
The peace he spoke of was not among men, but between God and man. Sin is no longer the issue; the price has been paid once and for all. God sent His only Son to bear our sin, becoming sin itself, and then judged Him without mercy for that sin. Was His sacrifice enough for you? Is God withholding His blessing because of your sin? If you die with an unconfessed sin, would you be lost? This truth will release you from the condemnation of judgment and fear. It will free you to receive the promised blessings of God!
